I’ve been trying to post the availability of update rollup/hotfix rollup builds on this blog however I must confess that my efforts have been on R2 with my TAP customer lately. Coupled with what seems to be a relatively low profile release –no chatter that I picked up on internally- I missed the release of the new hotfix rollup package for Forefront Identity Manager (FIM) 2010! Anyway, sometime near Tuesday 15th May Microsoft released a new hotfix rollup package for FIM 2010 –build 4.0.3617.2- available for download via kb2688078.
There are four important FIM Synchronization Service fixes in this build, including the fix for the provisioning hierarchy bug (The mapping for dn component ‘ou’ to object type ‘organizationalUnit’ is not in the list of allowed component mappings), introduced by Update 2.
Full details can be found in kb2688078: A hotfix rollup package (build 4.0.3617.2) is available for Forefront Identity Manager 2010.
