Stay Disconnector validation error: msExchRecipientTypeDetails of user is no longer available

You are configuring the GAL MA and you receive the following error when you click Next on the Configure Connector Filter wizard page.

Textually, the error is:

Stay Disconnector validation error:

‘msExchRecipientTypeDetails’ of ‘user’ is no longer available.

The error occurs because the default declared connector filter rules for the user object contain an attribute (msExchRecipientTypeDetails) not present in the schema.

The issue is that you are using FIM 2010 or FIM 2010 R2 against an Exchange Server 2003 organisation that doesn’t have Exchange Server 2007 or later schema.

Expanding the rule set for the user object exposes three rules that reference this attribute (rules 5, 6 and 7).

To resolve the issue delete the three connector filter rules that reference the bogus attribute (see screenshot below) and click Next.
