Forefront Identity Manager 2010 build 4.0.3627.2 released

On or around 27th August 2012 Microsoft released a new hotfix rollup package (build 4.0.3627.2) for Forefront Identity Manager (FIM) 2010.  The official documentation for this build can be found on the Microsoft support website under KB article kb2737503.

kb2737503 (4.0.3627.2) replaces 4.0.3617.2.  There’s a bunch of fixes, notably:

FIM Synchronization Service

  1. The ExchangeUtils:CreateMailbox method requires administrator permissions in Active Directory when the logon SID for an account is provided to the method.
    • Woohoo.  That one’s mine.  Mentioned here and here.
  2. The “0 is not a valid DN depth” issue has been fixed.

FIM Service

  1. New feature: Adds the ability to configure whether or not to treat underscores as literals.
